Leftfield & Friends

Warchild presents Leftfield, and friends O2 Brixton Academy, London on Sat 21st Apr 2012 Leftfield and Brixton Academy go together like apple crumble and custard, or peanut butter and coleslaw (no? just me then?), so when the dance music legends announce another Academy date, for me it's a bit of a no-brainer. Their 1996 and 2010 gigs at the Brixton venue are two of my favourite gigs ever, and this time they're bringing friends Jemmy, Tempo Tantrum, James Zabiela, Laurent Garnier, M.A.N.D.Y. plus a live performance from Booka Shade.

Tempo Tantrum

A rock-solid lineup for the long-running underground D&B/dubstep night, with one of Bristol's primary bass purveyors, Appleblim, knocking out the low frequencies, joined by the sultry new queen of dub-washed UK funky, Cooly G, and D&B legend Fabio, who'll be going all old school on y'all with a jungle set. Tempo Tantrum regulars and dubstep innovators Horsepower Productions will also be doing their thing, as will Altered Natives and Coda. An unusually bass-driven night for The Garage, making an already appealing night all the more intriguing.

Ritual

After a summer of amazing Sundance terrace parties Ritual returns to its birth place and home, Under The Bridge to bring you another heavyweight line up it is quickly becoming famous for, chosen by promoters with a genuine love for underground sounds, and a determination to become the go-to place for quality dance music way out west.
